Editing for Nonfiction Books
Books are meant to change lives.
Make sure yours will.
Whether you need ghostwriting, book doctoring, developmental editing, copyediting, or proofreading, I can transform your ideas into engaging stories and shape your thoughts into impactful writing.
Your readers are ready for your book. Don’t make them wait any longer.
I’m a word wrangler. A grammar guru. A sentence savant.
I specialize in nonfiction books, primarily within the genres of education, leadership, and self-help. With nearly 20 years of editing and writing experience and 17 books edited in the last two years alone, I help authors and publishers transform a pen-on-napkin idea into a bestseller.
I live in Northern Colorado with my best friend/husband, a neurotic Corgi, and a disapproving feline. I’m obsessed with craft cocktails, “unlovable” critters, and adding more books to my Goodreads list than I’ll ever be able to finish.
What My Clients Say
My Work
Services Offered
1
Ghostwriting
Ghostwriting gathers material from interviews, articles, podcasts, and other media and transforms it into a book manuscript. The author remains the creator and owner of the material, so this service is ideal for busy professionals who want a book in their name without having to write it.
3
Developmental Editing
Developmental editing reviews a manuscript at a high level, shaping the writing into a coherent, logical flow. This type of editing encompasses the entire document and addresses organization, style and tone, effectiveness of messaging, audience/genre fit, and more. It’s the big-picture category of editing.
4
Copyediting
At its most basic, copyediting addresses grammar, punctuation, spelling, word choice/usage, and other mid-level writing concerns. More in-depth copyediting fixes errors in mechanics, sentence structure, citations/references, and facts/claims, and creates a style sheet that guides consistency for other iterations of the manuscript.
